Take one last look at Gezhi Town, the smoke has cleared, sunlight shines into the alley, cooking smoke rises again, pigs have returned, doors are locked, and life continues.
Just like the ending song 'Congratulations' sings — it’s not the new year we celebrate, but surviving the disaster, still being alive, and being able to return home.
The movie has finished screening, but Gezhi Town is still there. The stories of the leisure time have reached a pause.
'What we do is unknown to others, but our descendants shall endure.'
The name Mo Dexian carved on the artifact will always remain.
He safeguarded Gezhi Town.
And in our hearts, he has left an indelible name.
